7.1 RC2 Will Not Stay Asleep

I went back down to 7.1 RC 2 because of a kernel bug relating to entropy in
Oreo RC 2. When I configured Build.prop with poweroff.doubleclick=1 and
click on the power button, the screen goes black and appears to go to
sleep. However, after a few minutes with the charger (via USB) in, the
device wakes itself up. I also tried poweroff.doubleclick=1 and
sleep.earlysuspend=1 but seeing the same behavior. My device is a
Cherrytrail Z8300 tablet so there is no keyboard and mouse connected to it.
Anyone seen this behavior before?

Ok, I forgot about the issue with sleep regarding the older kernel and
Cherrytrail. Would adding sleep.state=none completely negate the suspend
state? I understand sleep.state=none simply powers off the screen and the
battery continues to drain.
